Washington Heights Musical Society, based in upper Manhattan, is a series of concerts and educational workshops inspired by music in history. The society’s mission is to promote professional musicians of Washington Heights and to enrich the musical offerings of the neighborhood.

SIREN’S Captives Series features captives: Christof Huebner & Doug Balliett, and guest Arnie Tanimoto. Music of 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries, including Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto number 6, BWV 1051.
Siren Baroque Orchestra is an all-female ensemble based in New York City. Presenting passionate historically informed performances and newly composed works by living composers throughout the States and overseas, the women of SIREN are committed to infusing spirited historical accuracy with a tinge of modern dynamism. Critics praise SIREN Baroque’s “unusual freshness” (Seen and Heard International) and “secure and stylish” playing (New York Times).
All Concerts in the current season take place at the historic Holyrood Episcopal Church on 179th Street and Fort Washington Avenue.
